Description
The Packaging Producer manages packaging, labeling, and print documentation for Apple products worldwide to ensure that high-quality printing and finishing is developed, produced, and shipped on time. Ensure overall execution of final design for assigned projects. Subject matter expertise in print techniques and manufacturing processes is required. Manage overall design with cross-functional partners, including: Marcom Packaging, Product Marketing, Designers, Packaging Engineering, Industrial Design, Purchasing, Localization, Operations, in-region local teams and suppliers.
Responsibilities
Oversee all aspects of packaging aesthetics and visual performance, with specific responsibility for cosmetic appearance, color accuracy, and graphic functionality. This includes managing printed graphics, setting quality standards in collaboration with partner teams and suppliers, and validating new print methods, techniques, and equipment while ensuring products can scale for mass production.
Collaborate with internal teams, equipment manufacturers, materials suppliers and printer/converter vendors to deliver best-in-class solutions to support Appleās product packaging.
Manage new product introduction, scope program requirements and manage robust schedule from concept to production.
Ability to work independently through complexity, ambiguity and change.
Availability for both domestic and international travel.
Minimum Qualifications
8+ years relevant experience in project management.
Proven experience with a variety of print techniques and print manufacturing processes.
Proficient in Mac applications; database management systems; Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and Acrobat; and the Microsoft Office suite.
Preferred Qualifications
Deep understanding of both design and engineering process.
Extraordinary eye for color accuracy and quality.
Self starter with strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Creative problem solver who is adaptable, flexible, and resourceful to manage changes in product definition, time constraints, etc.
Experience articulating creative intent to others and proactively coordinating with partners to bring ideas to life.
Expertise in program and project management; ability to manage multiple competing projects and priorities, track deliverables, and develop schedules with functional and cross functional partners.
Working experience with materials, papers, inks, adhesives, print decoration and finishing techniques, ability to draft specifications around these items.
Experience collaborating with and directing the work of creative and technical contributors.

Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $182,600 and $274,500, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
