Network Engineer, Foundation Services Automation

Meta is looking for a talented, highly motivated engineer to join the Edge and Network Services team. This team is responsible for processes and systems for deploying and supporting one of the world’s largest, most complex, and robust networks. Automation is the key to meeting our demands; you will be responsible for executing on our vision for integrating detection, triaging and directed repair into our pipeline for networks supporting AI/ML applications. As a member of this team, you will have a unique opportunity to be involved in all aspects of global networking at Meta.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience 10+ years of experience Automation experience in the Networking domain in large scale networks Knowledge and Experience with Layer 2 & Layer 3 technologies Knowledge and experience in Python Knowledge and experience with Rest APIs Knowledge of Linux OS/networking Experience with network devices (routers, switches, load balancers) Experience working within a global team in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with limited supervision MS or Graduate work experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline Experience with developing or operating distributed systems at scale Knowledge of technology-agnostic approach to engineering knowledge and experience in C, C++, Go or Rust
