Hardware Prototype Engineer

The Wearables Wireless Design Validation and Infra team is seeking an experienced Hardware Prototype Engineer to join the W-DIESL (Wearable Device Infra Engineering Services & Labs) team. This role is critical for enabling early product and system validation, delivering high-fidelity prototypes, and unblocking key design decisions for Meta’s next-generation wearables.

BS degree in an engineering field (Mechanical, Electrical, or related) 6+ years of industry experience in hardware prototyping, product development, or related roles Proven experience with hands-on prototype assembly, fixture design, and process development Understanding of prototyping tools, equipment, and best practices (e.g., adhesive dispense, soldering, 3D printing, mechanical assembly) Experience with wearables or consumer electronics prototyping Familiarity with subsystem integration (audio, wireless, display) Knowledge of rapid prototyping techniques and equipment (e.g., 5-axis dispensing, plasma treatment) Experience supporting early-stage product validation and risk mitigation Problem-solving, communication, and project management skills Experience working in a time-sensitive, cross-functional environment
