Description
Apple’s Cellular Software team is seeking talented, highly motivated and disciplined engineers to work across layers on groundbreaking cellular technologies. The position involves integrating core cellular technologies that solves everyday problems for customers using iPhone, iPad, Watch and other wireless product lines. We are passionate about keeping our users connected 24/7 wherever they go. This team takes pride in not just coming up with proven software designs but also in disrupting traditional models of the cellular ecosystem. We do whatever it takes to bring user experience to the next level. In this role you will be a key member of the Cellular Software team with following responsibilities: Integrate Software/Firmware of a state-of-the-art mobile wireless communications system. Analyze system wide issues, identifying patterns from the reported issues, finding root causes, and integrating solutions to resolve these issues. Evaluate and implement leading edge tools for build, formal verification, and test. Define product and process improvements to improve overall SW quality.
Responsibilities
Work with the development teams to help drive complex cross functional feature integration.
Hands on debugging, including reviewing logs for first level triaging of system wide issues.
Setting up and managing test suites for testing end to end 4G/5G cellular functionality.
Work with the development team, test team, and integration team to develop new quality gates.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
10+ years of experience in cellular 4G/5G Software domain.
Excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills with hands-on experience in the analysis of system wide issues.
Strong understanding of software engineering principles using C and/or C++, Real Time Operating Systems (RTOS) and concurrent programming.
Preferred Qualifications
Strong knowledge of embedded real-time control, communications topics a plus.
Experience with emulation systems, and virtual platforms.
Experience in SW verification utilizing scripting and/or automation frameworks.
Strong experience debugging embedded software systems using system simulators.
Demonstrates comfort with pushing beyond the status quo.
Builds strong relationships within the organization to exchange ideas and resources.
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $171,600 and $302,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
