About the Role
Meta's Network and Infrastructure Services (NIS) team is actively looking for a network engineer to help us build out infrastructure which gives people the power to build community and bring the world closer together. Our team is responsible for network design, deployment, and operations for Meta's global engineering labs where we support multiple engineering teams. With the importance of rapidly maturing new technologies like the GenAI, we have entered in a new era of unprecedented opportunities to re-think traditional networking and iterate quickly in our environment. This role offers a unique career opportunity to develop networking solutions that are secure by default.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience 7+ years of experience in multiple technology disciplines with extensive experience in Network infrastructure, Vendor and Workflow Management Experience with data center design, structured cabling, and fiber optic network infrastructure Demonstrated knowledge of TCP, IPv4/6, Routing Protocols, and related network services (DHCP, DNS) Experience with implementing tooling and automation for network configuration and monitoring Track record of solving complex problems, executing tactically, and delivering on infrastructure projects Experience in a coding/scripting languages such as Python, shell scripting etc. along with knowledge in code repository solutions Experience evaluating and testing new vendor platforms and in house network initiatives
