About the Role
As a Strategic Sourcing Manager for Meta Reality Labs, you will be responsible for developing and nurturing key strategic relationships with critical cable suppliers. You will source a portfolio of standard and custom-designed cable assemblies, which involves designing supply chains, securing supplier capacity, negotiating part costs and capital expenditures, and implementing strategic agreements. It is this roleβs responsibility to ensure our suppliers meet or exceed all commercial and technical requirements throughout the life-cycle of the product(s).
Meta is seeking an experienced Global Supply Manager that creates disruptive value by influencing the product definitions, designs, and specifications for our organization, and manufacturing of our Mixed Reality (MR) and Wearables hardware. In this role, you will be responsible for sourcing across our ecosystem, including the commercial, operational and technical performance of our technology and supplier base. You will be responsible for quality, product and material availability, and cost that spans Silicon components for our MR and Wearables product lines.
Qualifications
7+ years work experience in sourcing, supply chain, logistics, procurement or related disciplines Experience in sourcing strategy development, supplier evaluation/selection, contract negotiation, cost negotiation, should cost models, and supply management Leadership, program management, and cross-functional teamwork experience Experience communicating with and influencing all levels of management Professional working fluency in both English and Mandarin Chinese to ensure effective communication with suppliers and internal stakeholders BS Degree or equivalent Electro-mechanical or mechanical industry experience in engineering, technical operations, or commercial roles 10+ years of sourcing experience with focus on managing custom module suppliers with factories in China and other countries in Asia Experience with high volume, Just-In-Time (JIT) contract manufacturer supply chains and design cycles commonly observed in consumer electronics Advanced degree (engineering / supply chain / logistics), MBA, or equivalent Experience with initiatives for sustainable manufacturing
