Description As an RFIC Layout Engineer, you will be a key member of a RFIC team, researching, designing and bringing the next-generation of wireless technologies into high-volume production in advanced CMOS technology nodes. Responsibilities Detailed transistor-level layout of RF and analog circuit blocks including LNA, mixers, PLL, LO generation, modulators, power amplifiers, ADC/DAC, baseband filters, and bandgap/bias/LDO. Block level layout through full verification flow including extraction, DRC, LVS, and DFM checking. Co-work with designers on block level floorplanning. Layout review for power/gnd routing, electromigration, signal path check, differential and IQ matching, and signal coupling. Minimum Qualifications BS and 3+ years of relevant industry experience. FinFet experience. Preferred Qualifications Experience in custom RF/analog layout for radio transceivers with extensive knowledge of deep sub-micron CMOS. Knowledgeable in layout techniques for device matching, minimizing parasitics, RF shielding, and high frequency routing. Solid understanding of RC delay, electromigration, and coupling. Understanding of guard rings, DNW, PN junctions, and advanced process effects such as LOD and WPE. High level proficiency in interpretation of CALIBRE DRC, ERC, LVS in FinFet Technology. Knowledge of CADENCE layout tools. Excellent communication skills. Scripting skills in PERL or SKILL. Pay & Benefits At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $134,800 and $245,800, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. In this all encompassing role, we will apply your technical skills to drive the technical execution of projects across a myriad of topics, including and not limited to: infrastructure of data center builds, storage roll-outs, operating system planning, coupled with supporting front-end and back-end silicon CAD design flows. The candidate will use program management abilities to own schedules and resolve issues across multiple projects, technology nodes and datacenters. By focusing on all aspects of a silicon project, we will work directly together with CAD, Infrastructure teams, Design teams and Technology teams to craft a project plan, identify/resolve blockers, and align CAD team work across multiple parallel projects and Datacenters ensuring all requirements are met! Description - Own and drive high-level achievements by focusing the CAD team on meeting near-term landmarks and unblock technical issues by pulling together the relevant multi-functional technical specialists. - Run and track project schedules by driving high-level achievement execution in a multifaceted core technology team. - Responsible for daily and long-term project management tasks. - Participate in early planning of new projects as well as resourcing and scheduling. - Assist with planning new project schedules, assign ownership, plan for right resource metrics and track them diligently to completion. - Drive weekly schedule and communication meetings with upper management. - Ensure effective project schedule and dependency communication with the dependent teams (CAD/Design/Infrastructure/technology/etc). - Rolling up your sleeves and doing what it takes to things done.
